Immigration Task Force:

Immigration Task Force: There is a national scandal in this

country. Twelve million residents-church goers, union

members, community volunteers; people who serve our

tables, make our hotel beds, work in our gardens, grow and

harvest our food, etc. etc.- are living in legal limbo.

ACTION is demanding that this present group of residents

be given humane treatment. We call upon our U.S. Senators

and Congressmen to join with the President to create

comprehensive immigration reform legislation. Our faith,

our religious values, and the very nature of our democracy

call us to welcome the immigrant.
